Specific Responsibilities:

  • Identify and remove samples that meet the criteria for disposal from various designated sample storage areas.
  • Dispose of these samples using correct methods in accordance with established procedures and schedules;
  • Assist the logistics department with internal laboratory sample and waste disposal programs to meet applicable industry standards;
  • Conform to required working hours unless changes approved by supervisor or manager;
  • Observe established safety requirements and comply with all ALS health and safety policies and procedures;
  • Other duties as assigned

Shared Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Basic computer skills, including familiarity with email and Microsoft suite;
  • Must be well organized, and able to work independently as well as part of a team;
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment and multitask;

Required Qualifications:

Grade 12 diploma or equivalent (preferred)



Physical Demands:

Able to sit/stand up to 8 hours per day;

Ability to lift up to 50lbs and carry for short distances.
